There’s something magical about being in a full-time role leading a team. If you like what I have to share here, but require someone in a full-time role, reach out. Sometimes a product leadership role is best served when immersed with the leadership team and the product development team. Perhaps sparks will fly and we’ll find alignment. Or we can find a way to do a mutual test-drive and see where we land!
About Me
I grew up in Silicon Valley—my parents met at HP. In 3rd grade, I tried explaining my dad’s job as a Product Marketing Manager and got questions I couldn’t answer.
Apple. Tree. I followed my engineering dad to Cornell, thinking I’d run world-class restaurants. Then my tech genes kicked in. From management consulting to product marketing to product management, I was hooked. When I landed my first product marketing gig, Dad whiteboarded the Kano model for me. A few years later, we went to an Edward Tufte seminar together. Safe to say, it’s in my blood.
Fast forward 20 years: I’ve led product at four startups, from napkin stage to IPO.
What keeps me in the game? I love product. Buy me an Old Fashioned, and let’s talk about the product operating model, sales vs. product dynamics, or what it really takes to get cross-functional teams (prod-eng-design-data, marketing, ops, CS) working as one. I live for building teams that build products that build businesses—and I’d love to share that passion with you.
